Red Yeast Rice has been used by the Chinese since 800 A.D. to promote cardiovascular health. It effectively lowers LDL (bad) saturated fat level, while at the same time elevates the HDL (good) saturated fat. Red Yeast Rice is also used to treat various stomach problems and aids in digestion.

I was dairy free for a long time. I live in nyc and wanted something Organic quick to add to add coffee tea and cereals that has a long shelf life and wasn’t a nut or coconut product.and not low fat ( my mom used to use “alba” and I just can’t.... I would like to look into more of the processing and could speak more to that at a later date - but over all - loving it
