Monk fruit (Luo Han Guo) is a plant native to Thailand and China where it has been used for thousands of years as a natural sweetener. Monk fruit is also known as the ?longevity fruit? due to its high antioxidant and vitamin levels. It was also historically used to promote healthy respiratory function. Monk fruit is 300 times sweeter than cane sugar with no calories and a low glycemic index. Its sweetness come from glycosides in the fruit is flesh.

I was dairy free for a long time. I live in nyc and wanted something Organic quick to add to add coffee tea and cereals that has a long shelf life and wasn’t a nut or coconut product.and not low fat ( my mom used to use “alba” and I just can’t.... I would like to look into more of the processing and could speak more to that at a later date - but over all - loving it
