Butternut Bark Extract (4:1 concentration) was used during the American Revolution to help prevent major outbreaks and digestive issues. Butternut extract assists with reducing stomach pain and intestinal discomfort caused by sluggish bowels. It has also been used as a mild laxative with virtually no negative side effects. This is the highest quality Butternut extract (4:1 concentration) available on the market in raw, powder form. This ingredient may be added to foods and beverages or smoothies and green drinks. It is a dark brown powder. Prescribed For Life's Non-GMO Pesticide Free powder extracts are not ETO Treated or Gamma Irradiated. Some typically gummy, oily or damp extracts require an anti-caking agent to maintain its powder form. Non-GMO and/or Organic Tapioca maltodextrins are typically used, in as small amounts as possible. I was dairy free for a long time. I live in nyc and wanted something Organic quick to add to add coffee tea and cereals that has a long shelf life and wasn’t a nut or coconut product.and not low fat ( my mom used to use “alba” and I just can’t.... I would like to look into more of the processing and could speak more to that at a later date - but over all - loving it
